Well I decided to go to the store to get some more bus tickets and I passed by a transient who, like many do, ask you for spare change. Usually I just say sorry and keep moving on, but I felt different this time around. It was just too hard say I didn't have any money right when I was about to walk into a store I guess lol. Anyways, the store I went to didn't have any tickets so I went to the grocery store next door and got to thinking that I ought to give that guy something... One of the reasons I don't like Seattle that much is because of the poverty, which is seen so easily no matter where you go. I have trouble going places seeing people starving all around; and I had planned to do some sort of volunteer service during the winter to help the unfortunate but those plans fell through so I bought the transient some cookies and milk while I was inside. I came back outside surprised him with the food. His face lit up a lot, I'm not sure if it was because he was really hungry or really surprised by the hospitality. Anyways, I bid him a good day and went home. This was probably a really random story to tell but heck, it feel's great to help people!
